Maicon expects to complete a move from Inter Milan to Real Madrid in the near future, according to his agent.
Jose Mourinho has already identified Maicon as one of the players he would like to bring with him to the Bernabeu and the Brazil defender’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, has now confirmed the clubs are in talks.
“The negotiation is in the hands of the two presidents, and I don’t think it will be difficult for them to find an agreement,” he told Calcio Mercato.
“At the moment, there are differences between the offer and the asking price, but I hope everything will be resolved as soon as possible and that it will work out for both parties. If Maicon does leave Inter, Madrid are definitely the first option.”
The representative of Inter full-back Maicon insists that the future of the Brazilian international is in the hands of the Italian champions. The 28-year-old is said to be putting pressure on the club to get an improved deal, amid reports that Spanish giants Real Madrid are ready to splash out to take him to the Bernabeu. The Merengues might launch a big-money bid during the close season, but the player’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, prefers to err on the side of caution. “I hope Maicon will win the treble of titles and then we’ll talk about his future,” he told Mediaset. “Is an extension on the cards? If after a treble of wins we have to sit at the table to talk, it will be up to [Inter president Massimo] Moratti… “He has to assess his balance sheet and a whole series of things that are not up to us. “Still, the lad and his family are settled in Milan.” Maicon is tied to the Beneamata until June 2012.
The agent of Lyon midfielder Ederson has revealed that Napoli are keeping tabs on the 24-year-old. Antonio Caliendo admits that the Azzurri are a possible candidate for his client, but everything will be a lot clearer in approximately four weeks, when the Champions League will be over.

Talks between Maicon and Inter regarding his future have been postponed until the end of the season, claims agent Antonio Caliendo.
Spanish press continue to link Maicon with a move to Real Madrid at the end of term. His deal at San Siro expires in June 2012, and there is no rush to discuss his next move. “I think that Inter need to win the Champions League, and then we will speak,” Caliendo told Ilsussidiario.net. “Will he leave at the end of the season? I will discuss this with Massimo Moratti directly.”
